A habitat feature was specially designed for mussels with sloping surfaces, textures and rockeries in the tidal zone. Working with ecologist Ron Aleveras, Ken Smith Workshop designed a folded and sloping terrain of specially textured surfaces and rockeries to support mussel. A footbridge, yet to be constructed will provide access across and visibility into the habitat feature. Upland community plantings will provide a setting for the feature.
